The best Italian deli in the city!! Great for cheeses, salami, sandwiches, potato salad. They also have handmade pasta and homemade sauces that you can take home. Order ahead for pick up if you go on the weekends as this gem of a place gets crowded!

Can’t go wrong with popping into an old school Italian deli. Lucca was spectacular. I ordered the “Pork-Etta” the bread was delicious and the meat with the arugula and olive oil with a dash of salt n pepper...simple yet so complex and filling. Half a sandwich was PLENTY Seriously. Excited to eat @ Lucca deli again

Awesome place to get absolutely delicious sandwiches and sides. They have a wide variety of Italian supermarket foods, and the service is fantastic. Don’t forget to get a number when you arrive in case it’s super busy!

Great variety of food. All of it is very good. Salads, sandwiches, soups, hot meals like ravioli, lasagna. This place tends to be crowded at lunch time so there is usually a wait even though there are 4 or 5 people making up the various orders. I usually get there ahead of the crowd when the wait isn't long. Highly recommended.

Best always...no matter what!

We got five sandwiches and they were all delicious! The chicken chutney and the americano sandwiches are especially delish!! Perfectly baked bread, amazing wine in little bottles. We will come back next time we come to the city for sure

This is the best deli in this part of San Francisco. The sandwiches are authentic, the bread is amazing and the cold cuts are fresh. Oh and get there early to get a canoli, because they run out fast. And the deviled eggs are devilish as well. Pick a number, be patient and you won't be disappointed.

Very goid sandwiches especially the muffaletta. Loads of Italian dishes and specialities. Well worth the wait.

It is all interesting to go to yhis deli. When I was little my parens would come to Lucca to get my dad's favorite meats.

Before I left for Golden Gate park I stopped by Lucca and ordered 6 sandwiches and a container of Greek salad. I know that is a tough order to handle right before the lunch rush but they are pros. I met up with my friends in Golden Gate and had a picnic. They are recent NYC transplants and long story short, they found their new go-to deli.

Favorite place for Italian style sandwiches. My favorites are Chicken Chutney, Caprese w/proscuitto, and the Classic Italian. The deviled eggs and raviolli are also very yummy. Great friendly staff and great food !!!

Love stopping by here when I'm in the city. I could spend all day looking at all the imports. So much good stuff. The sandwiches are so worth it.

This place is amazing! The sandwiches are delicious, all top quality meats, cheeses and a wonderful selection of breads. A lot of choices for cold salads and fresh deli meat, plus frozen pasta dishes and a lot of really cool imported items like dry pastas. A small shop with a lot to offer. A place well worth taking the time to check out.

Amazing Italian deli!!!! lots to choose from, sandwiches are very hearty and filling with lots of rolls/ bread to choose from for your sandwiches. Great variety of ready to heat pastas, chicken, meat balls, cold cuts, cheeses and salads a must if your in the area. Use the self order machine in the front (right outside the door) of the store to avoid the wait.

this is an old school classic italian deli the locals all know and love the space is cramped and there only a bench out front to eat at but the food is solid. If your planning a party or are cooking italian come here and shop you will not be dissapointed your taste buds will thank you

This is the real deal. Family owned, original Italian deli. If you are into deli sandwiches you gotta to visit Lucca Delicatessen when in San Francisco. We had Caprese sandwiches and I had THE Pat Burrell, hands down one of the best I've ever had, possibly the best sandwiches in California. We are in San Francisco for a few more days and we will return without a doubt. The prices are fair for the quality and quantity of the food they are serving.

Decent selection of italian meats and cheeses but it's a bit overpriced and not worth it considering the great delis you can visit in the North Beach neighborhood in SF. The service isn't great at Lucca either. I'd say, unless you're in a pinch, there are much better options in SF.

Big sandwiches, loads of filling. Got some of the shrimp and Greek salad go take out, both good. They have fresh pre-made pasta and sauces in the fridges.

I was visiting my sister in Mill Valley from Monterey, and she suggested coming here to grab lunch. Love this little Italian deli with a big selection of meats, cheeses, sandwiches and salads. Items from Italy,omg. Wish we had more of these shops everywhere. So glad we stopped in. They've been here since 1929. Tells you something of the service and products.

This is the original Marina Lucca, unrelated to the now gone Lucca deli on Valencia at 22nd. A very popular Italian delicatessen with quality meats and cheeses. Grab a number as soon as you arrive!

Return visit after several years. Still a classic deli with many unique salami favorites..pretty awesome deli sandwiches, too...

This place is top notch. I grew up in Italy and I should know. Best Italian Deli you can find in the City. Can’t go wrong.... Ever!!
